She has reportedly been battling dementia and has had other health problems in recent years, including in when Nichols suffered a minor stroke. Gilbert Bell, Nichols' friend and manager, was said to have handed the video and audio to an Atlanta TV station in which the star reportedly discusses her son's bid to get guardianship over her, according to WGCL-TV. A voice said to be that of Nichols is heard saying at one point: 'You get your hands off me, I'm not going home.
